The Best Moss Choice for Aquascape

The Best Moss Choice for Aquascape - To add to the beauty of aquascape, you need to add moss to it. Well, here are some of the best and most beautiful types of moss if used to decorate an aquarium.

The Best Moss Choice for Aquascape

Fontanus fissidens

Moss is a type of fontanus fissiden originating from the United States, but for its distribution there is now on the Continent of Australia. Fissidens will give your aquacsape an almai look even more if it is tied to a piece of wood or stick on rocks.

Unfortunately this moss tends to be slow in its growth, especially after you trim it. But after one month has passed, then the moss will thrive and bloom. For treatment it's easy.

Java moss

Java moss is a type of moss that is very easy to find and is also commonly used as an ornamental aquarium. Moss originates from Southeast Asia, and in its growth does not need much maintenance such as caring for a beard flower, because it is so attached to hardscape, moss will soon flourish.

You can also form java moss into an interesting form or follow the shape of the media. However, at the time of planting we should not put moss excessively on a hardscape because it will cause the moss to rot quickly.

Christmas moss

Moss, which has a shape like pine cones, comes from Brazil. This plant is the most often sought after by aquascape fans. It grows densely, the dominant color is bright green with irregular growth.

Given its dense growth, the best planting is to place it in the cracks so that when growing christmas moss can be more stretchy. So, it doesn't need to be tied because it won't fit the natural style of aquascape.

Pellia liverwort

The origin of this plant is from the East such as India, Japan, China, and Hawaii. To grow this moss in aquascape, we need to prepare high amounts of nitrogen. Therefore, fertilization is needed to maximize growth.

The leafwort is leafless but the talus allows it to multiply and gives a distinctive staghorn shape. Apart from not being as demanding as how to treat mini jasmine in pots, liverwort can grow in areas with low to high light. When given abundant CO2, a small bubble of oxygen will appear at the bottom of the talus.

Crystalwort

Crystalwort or Riccia fluitans are moss with a very beautiful and unique shape. Unfortunately, the treatment was classified as difficult as the anthurium jemani cultivation.

Crystalwort is very easy to float and does not want to stick to hardscape. Therefore, you must double-check and tie it repeatedly every week. If not, it will tear the net and release it. In addition, special treatment is needed if we want Riccia fluitans to glow, give CO2 with high concentration.
